Her commitment to quality and aesthetic precision is deeply rooted in her background, having spent years developing a discerning eye within the demanding environment of a leading global luxury fashion house. After making New Zealand her permanent home in 2001, Cecilia expanded her creative skillset by studying architectural draughting and interior design, further refining her understanding of form and space.

The journey to perfecting her iconic balloon began in 2017. It was a period of dedication, involving extensive online research for materials and methods, overcoming numerous technical hurdles, and invaluable advice from kind international artists, which ultimately made her goal of transforming a simple form, a balloon into a lasting ceramic art, possible.
